About aniline leather

We chose aniline leather because of the combination of handfeel and environmental impact. Uncoated and minimally processed, aniline leather is dyed so the color penetrates from top to bottom. As a result, the hand is soft and buttery. Minimal processing means minimal environmental impact. Unlike a plastic or "vegan" product, our aniline hides come directly from the food chain, using a part of the animal that might otherwise go to waste. Small scratches can be buffed out or ironed out using a warm iron and damp cloth. Be careful, though - uncoated leathers can quickly absorb stains like pen ink, spilled paints and oil.
